The Aero Memorial in Philadelphia is a gilded bronze sculpture by Paul Manship dedicated to Pennsylvania aviators who died in World War I. Created in 1948 and donated to the city in 1950, the memorial features a celestial sphere design with zodiac figures and symbolizes the aviators' sacrifice. It is located near 20th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, close to Logan Square and the Franklin Institute. The memorial was commissioned by the Fairmount Park Art Association and originally proposed by the Aero Club of Pennsylvania during the war.
