The Simon Bolívar Memorial is a bronze statue by Felix W. de Weldon located at the south side of the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C. It honors General Simón Bolívar, a key leader in Latin America's independence movements, often called "The George Washington of South America." Positioned near E and 18th Streets NW and close to the Farragut West Metro station, the memorial is part of Washington's extensive collection of historical monuments. It is recognized in several authoritative guides on D.C. sculpture.
