The Labor & Industry tympanum is a limestone relief by Arthur Brown and Albert Stewart on the former Labor Department Building in Washington, D.C., now the E.P.A. It depicts a reclining man with a horned bull, flanked by a millstone and sheaf of wheat, symbolizing labor and industry. The building also features friezes with various symbolic metopes representing animals and objects related to work and nature. This artwork is part of the Federal Triangle area near Constitution Avenue and the Smithsonian Metro station.
