sculpture
The MORONI sculpture by Thorlief Knapus, created around 1933, originally topped the LDS Church in Washington, D.C. It is made of aluminum and depicts the angel Moroni, a key figure in Mormonism. The sculpture has since been moved and is now exhibited in Salt Lake City, Utah, reflecting its religious and cultural significance. It is documented in James M. Goode's "Outdoor Sculpture" but was excluded from his later "Washington Sculpture" volume.
