The Pulaski Memorial at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. is a bronze equestrian statue honoring Brigadier General Count Casimir Pulaski, a Polish nobleman and Revolutionary War hero. Created by sculptor Kazimierz Chodzinski and architect Albert R. Ross, it was erected in 1910. Pulaski is celebrated as the father of American cavalry and died from wounds sustained at the Battle of Savannah. The memorial is located in the Pennsylvania Avenue area near the Federal Triangle Metro Station.
