The Oscar S. Straus Memorial Fountain in Washington, D.C.'s Federal Triangle honors Oscar Solomon Straus, the first Jewish U.S. Cabinet Secretary and a distinguished diplomat. Sculpted by Adolph Alexander Weinman and designed by Eggers & Higgins, the fountain features allegorical figures representing liberty and reason. Dedicated in 1947 and rededicated in 1998 after restoration, it is located at the Ronald Reagan Building. The memorial commemorates Straus's public service and advocacy for religious freedom.
