The WASHINGTON meridian marker stone is situated on the outer east wall of Meridian Hill Park in Washington, D.C. It marks the historic Washington Meridian, once used as a geographic reference line. Originally located slightly west of its current position, the marker was presented by the Army & Navy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The site is near 16th Street and Crescent Place NW, close to several Metro stations.
