The Humanoid Griffin gargoyle (88) is a limestone sculpture on the northwest tower of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Designed by Jay Hall Carpenter and carved by Franco Minervini, it blends human and griffin features. This gargoyle is part of the cathedral's extensive collection of grotesques that decorate its Gothic Revival architecture. It is located at the roof level, southeast corner of the northwest tower near Massachusetts and Wisconsin Avenues NW.
